Conquering fears

Good grief ...as if the channel tunnel wasn't freaky enough...today we ventured up a hillside in a one hundred year old cable car, the Funicular...arhhhhh.
Well we have done this sort of thing before in Penang...much younger then...still freaky.
The view from the top was amazing...but I think I was thankful when the old girl got us back safe and sound.
Spent the day walking miles and miles...up and down all over the shop.  Explored the old remains of the castle on the hill...how intriguing... such history....including Napoleonic times.
Tomorrow we head back into France..Carcassonne...one of the places we went to last year...I am so looking forward to it, Carcassonne is lovely....and the weather is forecast for exactly the same....wet wet wet ...rain jackets are out.....umbrella?????
