We find ourselves at Swindon

We spent the night an ancient establishment at Cleobury Mortimer.....it was a long day.  Somewhat of an odd little place....I am thinking that there is a very VERY limited gene pool there. Weird individuals...reminded me of when I lived in an old dairy farming community in the Latrobe Valley.
However they had a top chef...and we both had amazing meals.
I spoke too soon about leaving the snow behind, yikes we got caught in a storm.  The temperature dropped from 8 degrees to 2 in a matter of a couple of minutes. Then the snow started quite heavy and 'the thunder bolts and lightening...very very frightening'  lalalalala....
Today however...it's been fine and sixteen here in Swindon, so we are confident now that we can ditch the boots and the heavy jackets????...perhaps??? maybe??? could happen????
We tootled along country lanes again yesterday and today and took a detour to the viaduct along the way...it was quite big and it must be lovely when the stream train goes chuffing along in the summer...and also spectacular when same, but in the depth of winter and a blanket of snow.
This afternoon, after a bit of an explore, lunch and check in at this lovely old estate, we spent the afternoon watching the Badger's beloved team, Man' United playing Leicester City.  After that we just popped back here to the hotel...and I had a nuzzle with a gorgeous little draft horse type of chap.  There is a paddock full of these wonderful animals.
Tonight we are just going to chill around here...dine in and probably have an early night as we have a few things we want to see tomorrow.
